Debra Mason Reddick

Education

Ms. Debra Mason Reddick is a 1967 graduate of Miami Jackson Senior High School.

While a student at Miami Jackson, she was a member of the Thespians (Drama Club). She was stage manager and house manager for many productions, including “A Raisin in the Sun.” She was a member
of the Modern Dance Club and the Library Science Future Librarians.

Ms. Reddick returned to Miami-Jackson in 1999 as an employee and has continued until present in the
position of Exceptional Student Education (ESE)/Emotional Behavioral Disabilities (EBD) Paraprofessional. In this role, she has touched the lives of many Miami Jackson students. She has served as the Key Club Advisor and Junior Civitan Advisor. She has also served as an assistant Facilitator for the Big Brother Big Sister initiative targeting Miami Jackson students.

Her commitment to the students at Miami-Jackson was the catalyst for her role as PTSA President, PTSA Vice President, and Band Parent President. Her professional expertise has resulted in her roles as Educational Excellence School Advisory Council (EESAC) Chairperson, a United Teachers of Dade (UTD)
Designated Steward, 2010 Steward of the Year, Finalist for the Steward of the Year in 2012, 2013, and 2015, Co-chair of the UTD/MDCPS Paraprofessional/Support Personnel of the Year District Task Force and member of the Principal and Assistant Principal of the Year Committee.

Ms. Reddick cites “making a difference in the lives of the students at Miami Jackson” as one of her greatest professional accomplishments.

She is a Founding and Charter Member of the Miami Jackson Generals Alumni Association
